On January 20, 2010, I became an aunt to Abigail Eleanor.  I spent the next 5 days staring at her. Her fresh wrinkles, her ruby red lips, her tiny nails.  She is the definition of precious.

She furrows her brow like my brother in law, an over the moon new Dad.  She looks exactly like my sister when she cries, which she only does when she’s hungry.  The soft skin, the new baby smell, the catnaps, I could spend months taking her in, studying her expressions.  I will take her to get her nails done when her mom says no. And I will spend the next 18 years trying to get her dad to pay for Wellesley.  So much to look forward to!
